The trailer is level, but a drop down trailer hitch would have accomplished the same as an overloaded truck.

When he gets that truck he borrowed unloaded he should wash it before returning it. "I took good care of it, even washed it for you"

But the washer is nicely padded. That's to help unloading. Remove straps go fast in reverse and slam on the brakes. Washer unloaded onto mattress

Oh man bad memories. I lost a child's highchair that lifted vertically out of the middle of a full load like that. Apparently the 'table' portion of the highchair created lift like a wing. I saw it in the mirror lift straight up from where I thought it was wedged securely, and fly away. Found nothing but splinters when I circled back.

Finally I have a solution: a piece of commercial fisherman's net, the type they use to winch a ton or so of fish up out of the water. I now use it every time I use the trailer. It's incredibly strong. I clip carabiners on the trailer into the net at whatever random location puts the net under tension.
