They were driving down the road slowly and turned into driveway. Guy ducked when he saw me.

This thread has been running strong for more than 5 years. Seems easy to find and pick on wrongs by others we don't know.

I know I take short cuts sometimes... How about we expose what we do personally whether a fail or not, just to educate our community on how we do it and maybe how we should. A little personal critic, of course should follow.

Interested to see how many of us will post our routine towing/hauling pics and open us up for criticism? I don't think I would be going 'out on a limb' saying that we don't always practice what we preach.

Please explain it to this country boy. The Jeep? The utility work truck? What? Why would they duck? Are you the Boss or the cops?

They were DRIVING down the ROAD with the guy IN THE BUCKET. That is a HUGE NO-GO FO-SHO.

I have seen that more than a few times when they were stringing cable and riding it onto the guide wire. Always with the guy in the bucket wearing a harness and tied off to the bucket.

Used to work with a guy that would leave the outriggers in the bucket truck off the ground six inches or so. He would cut what he could reach and have me pull forward to the next pick, time is money I guess !
Kind of spooked me when the truck would lean till the outriggers touched , and I was on the ground!

Interesting to see how many of these "unsafe towing & hauling" incidents resulted in the job getting done with NO damage or injuries.

Getting away with it doesn't make it right.
Of course, there are also times where it's so "right" that the job can barely be done.
Better to be lucky than good?

Just as not fastening your seat belt on a tractor doesn't mean you are going to DIE if you start the tractor.
Because someone got hurt doing something doesn't mean it is unsafe.
Because something *COULD* happen doesn't mean it will or that it is even likely to happen.

I've gone hunting with people that probably think the same way. Kind of depends on the consequences, if something bad does happen.
