Reminds me of a time after college but before acceptance of a responsible life while wandering through the south in an old chevy van. I somehow ended up in Galveston parked on the beach after a drinking bout and was awakened by pounding on the side of the van. I rolled out, ready to do battle, trying to look as big and mean as can be (and I was pretty big and mean and long-haired and tired of being harassed by police back then). The old guy doing the pounding simply observed "Yep ya"ll can park here, but most of us from Texas don't". My first impression was he was harassing me because of my out of state plates before I realized the waves were coming up no more than a few yards from the van. The old guy went off fishing and I moved up the beach a few hundred feet and watched waves engulf my former parking space as the tide came in. On his way back he stopped to check on me and accepted my thanks and offer of a beer. He said "Well most likely you would have been fine- you would have woke up when it started rockin, but you were sleepin pretty sound. It could have rolled over first".(
There wasn't any water near by when i parked a few hours ago. Good thing the rocking woke me up in time. ;)

Reminds me of some (city) kids I came across a few years back on a local beach. They were mildly stuck in the sand in a passenger car. I suggested he rock it. Next thing I know, he was standing beside his car, with his hands on the roof, rocking the thing side to side!

^^^^
Did it work? :D
I've helped people out of the snow on occasion. Quite often all that I need to do is tell them to straighten their wheels so that the tires aren't trigged against the side of the wheel track.
