Some of us are less interested in what's "Popular" I guess.

As far as the Amish goes, I might go as far to say interesting. Amazing wouldn't be the first thing that comes to mind. I mean, if they had "invented" a better alternative to electricity or even cell phones for that matter..

I grew up with the Amish in very close proximity to me and I have worked with them multiple times and as far as I am concerned as a group, as a religion they are amazing In multiple ways, is there a way of life for me **** no, but they mostly follow the religious direction of their leaders and I respect them for it

There are a suprising number of documentaries on them and the menonites. I started getting bombarded with them from Apple TV/Youtube a year or so ago and watched a half dozen easily. A lot of dispair there, especially with the young, who find leaving difficult when they can't function at beyond a six grade level or so, because all they were pretty much taught (in school) was the bible.

It's pretty amazing the things they do sometimes. A few years ago I posted how things have gone full circle... almost 100 years ago Harry Ferguson revolutionized farming when he invented the 3 point hitch which led to bigger, more efficient equipment. Now I see Mennonites pulling converted 3 and 4 bottom 3 PTH plows behind their horses. They apparently can use a phone, but aren't allowed to have one in their homes. I see old rotary sawmills powered by gasoline engines, but don't remember ever seeing a band sawmill. It's not at all uncommon to see a group of Amish waiting at the local bus station for a ride out of town.
A few years ago we were cruising timber down in PA, and the landowner's rep told us that they have many Amish cutting wood for them. They can run a skidder and use a chainsaw, they just can't own them. It's a lifestyle which I would never choose, yet they certainly thrive on the simpler ways.

I do not see it as wrong, I see it as "their" way

Also, I don't think the cord was plugged in, so no lights or brakes. A half mile in the direction he was coming from the road tee'd into a US highway, and a half mile in the direction he was going the road turned into a back country road (likely 55 mph). It was in the middle of nowhere, so he had low population density on his side. The town where I saw this was small and unincorporated. I only saw him go slow through town.

That front drivers side trailor tire does not look like its doing well either

Be careful criticizing that pic, it seems there are a lot of fans of idiot drivers on this thread!
