shakey hydraulics

I had a new hydraulic pump installed last year .When I raise the bucket its slow and shakey. I notices that the suction hose near the filter is colapsing on itself so I changed it thinking it was weak. Still does the same thing. It seems to me this must be starving the pump. Has anyone seen this before or know what to do? Any ideas. Thanks

There is probably a sump filter somewhere that is loaded with crud.

You might have a blockage in the tank also.
