shaft boot cover Branson 4320 part# TN23030000A4

I own a Century 3045 (Branson4320) and the boot cover for the front propellor shaft housing leaks hydraulic fluid. I have loosened and collapsed the shaft housing so I can remove the shaft and replace the boot. I'm looking for Branson part # TN23030000A4 boot cover or a suitable replacement. I also am unclear as to the shaft removal. I'm looking for a snap ring and can't see one. Any help is appreciated.

I don't think there should be oil in there. Since you mentioned that it's hydraulic fluid, the oil seal from the 4WD output shaft of the transmission must be leaking.

For the parts you need, I wonder if a piece of coolant hose would work in the there. I believe there are "transition" hoses available that change from on dimension to another. Or maybe those silicone hoses used in car modifications that they put on the cold side of the turbo.

As to removing the driveshaft, going by the parts manual, I believe you slide the smaller cover pipe inside the big one. Then take the roll pin #12 and slide that that stuff back. Be careful as there are some balls that are part of an overloading clutch so it doesn't brake the front axle gears in an high load application.

Then move all the covers back to the front, take the circlip #6 out, slide the coupler back and you should be able to pull the drive shaft out.

Again, this is just based on the parts catalogue, it might not be 100% accurate.

Thank you. I would assume that there shouldn't be oil in there and anticipated a bad seal which I did not see in other drawings. I do not see the circlip #6. I'll look again. I can see the balls in that coupling.
