Well... Think of it this way, each problem you fix is one less that creeps up on you. Our current house looked awesome until about a month later. Now have replaced a rotted sill plate, clogged gutters and perimeter drain, improperly zoned boiler, overloaded electrical service, new roof, potholed driveway.. and probably a couple of others I forgot.

Now we have a home I know inside out, and have fewer surprises coming.

A lot can happen in 34 years since the house was built in 1970. We had a septic line running under a concrete porch that gave trouble when I was a kid. I remember having to dig it out from the basement like a tunnel rat. Not a fun memory.

When I was a very young kid growing up in Tombstone, there was cesspool that had filled up. It was at a small motel run by old man Chrisswell.
He hired some guys to clean it out. Being some what lazy they decided to dynamite it would be the easiest way to get it done.
When it went off there was the geyser as mentioned in the video. There was a power line near by. When things had settled down there were several Condoms hanging off the power line.
