Sevice Manual

I ordered a tech manual from the deere dealer today, will skip the parts manual for now. $65.60 + tax. It'll take 2-4 weeks to get the tech manual.
Also, I talked with the sevice dept. and there's a recall (they call it a product upgrade) on my 47 b/h. JD pays for hauling for this one. I'm having the dealer check to see if there are any other recalls or upgrades on the tractor and loader that have not been done and can be done at the same time.
Also, The guy in sevice had no advice for the crack in my hood other than to try and glue it from under the hood. He didn't know what to use but thought that glueing should work.

markcq2000, I have a JD 790 also and bought a parts catalog. It is marked "PC2732 (Feb99)". I ordered it directly from JD (1-800-522-7448). I am not sure, but it looks like it is a revieion of a JD 770 manual. Page A9 of the manual lists the engine as 20HP, and I am concerned the parts for the engine may not be for the 30HP engine on the JD 790. What is your parts manual part number and does it have the same error? What is the part number of the tech manual? Sounds like I should order one. John Weaver
