Setting a constant speed with a hydrostatic trans

Hi all,
Just got a MF 1749E with a hydrostatic trans. (Which I am loving) But, never having had a hydro tractor before, it dawns on me that there is no provision for setting the ground speed to a constant for spraying. I use an electric spray rig so I can run any engine rpm I want. I was thinking of adding a clip to hold the pedal in a fixed location and finding an rpm that gives the ground speed I want. Anyone else already solved this problem?

Most HSTs have cruise control standard, or there is an option to add cruise control.

My 2720 is a hydrostatic. When I spray, I put the go petal to the metal and leave it there. I adjust my speed with the RPM's. Measure out 100 feet in a straight line and time yourself how many seconds it takes to run through it. Do the math and you will have a MPH/RPM chart for your tractor.

Or duct tape a GPS on the dash.
