When I got it, I used tractordata and what i think would be serial number (00209) so now I've just been listing as 1978 MF 205. It only had 14 hours on it according to gauge and looked like it just come off the factory line so i just took it as a blessing and picked it up.
With the low hours now, seems like the only people calling are the skeptics. So far I've been accused of swapping out gauges, modifying photos (duh..just come look at tractor in person lol), and they all seem to have the attitude of something's not right, but would rather send nasty emails/calls than to actually believe something so cute exists? :dance1:
As far as the decals, the only thing i've ever changed was fluids, and added a lil toolbox, and the suicide knob(steering). It sits the way i got it maybe with a lil extra dust and dirt on it

i actually lost my temper a lil bit with one guy and asked him if i beat the p*ss out of it and let the hours run up if he'd buy it..."at least it would look more legit that way" he said... and here I thought less hours was a good thing? lol
On the plus side, a massey collector called this a.m. and wants to at least just see it. i didn't mention the possible gray market, actually, i hadn't had much coffee and sort of played dumb, but he's not too far away so I'm actually hoping he'll come take a look so I can learn something...!

P.S. I actually sat and compared a ton of tractor pics...thought I could at least find a hinomoto model or something, someone said something like the E18D was close.. the MF 205 is exactly what mine looks like...hate to do it, but I'm taking the female selling approach to this and just sticking with MF and playing dumb, losing cell phone signal when I hear that mockery in their voice!
