'05/'06 L39 TLB
Unfortunately......So what do y'all think a L39 (TLB) is worth these days with about 550 hours? Aside from a couple small dents in the front edge of the hood and a snapped bolt on the front quick attach, her condition is generally excellent (05'/06'). She's been garaged for all but the last few months since we've moved to Maine. I've got a few attachments that go with it (listed below).

We moved for work reasons from our fine multi-acre Vermont property to a suburban environment in Maine (Portland area) and the L39 is just too much. It hardly fits in the yard now with the two cars and trailer. I think I'm going to end up with a BX again. Can't not have a tractor :)

Here's what attachments I have for the L39 and hope to sell as a package:

-Front hydraulic ports (controlled via loader stick)
-72" rear snowblower
-72" heavy duty box scraper
-Forks with hydraulic clamp (standard quick-attach).
-Street pads for stabilizers
-HD tooth bar for front bucket
-Toolbox
-24" hoe bucket

I know I have to compete with Kubota financing, but my price will be a lot less than a new one and no sales tax. Credit unions and folks with straight cash will be my best prospects I figure. I'm sure they'll be people looking for the deal of the century too. I'm not in a distress situation, so they can keep looking.

What do you think it's worth selling myself?

-Jim

Bummer, but at least you have the realistic notion that you cannot not have a tractor. I would keep it, do some jobs with it in the Portland area to make up the cash differential between the used L39 and the new BX ( about $7-9K is my guess). I think your L39 would sell for about $28K. Good luck.

I'd have to say a minimum of 25% off list of new to move it quickly considering the rebates and financing offers on 08 models now. Main thing is being in a position where you can hold on a while - unlike many folks out there today. Good Luck with your sale and the replacement BX !

Problem is getting the beast around for the jobs. Other problem is my real job. Work always seems to get in the way of fun these days.

That sounds about the right %. Might be better off selling implements separately. Will have to look into it.

No offense to the BX guys out there (I used to be one and may be again), but I stopped by a Kubota dealer on my way home from pheasant hunting this am and re-realized how little they are......basically a heavy duty lawn mower. Very capable rigs though. Just going to be hard to get used to the size differential.....L39 is such a capable brute. Maybe I'll keep it and just drive it up and down the driveway; wax it on weekends.

Wow Jim,
I remember when you bought that tractor.

I sure wish I was in a position to help you. Judging from your posts in the past, I am quite sure you took good care it that rig.

I have a different problem. I am working all over the middle east and my wife has all the fun with the snow and the tractor......

Good luck,
David

I know....Work moved me to Portland area. Pretty nice here on the coast. Ocean access and the Maine woods are great bonuses. Boston is less than 2 hours away and Cape Cod only takes 3. Makes it much easier to travel with the kids. Miss VT though when I visit friends and family. What a special state that is....unique is many ways.

Wish I could figure a way to justify in my mind owning such a beast on the new property, but it just doesn't make any sense.

In the Portland area there is surely some work and you can have any flatbed move it for something like $70+$2 per mile. But if your lot is too small, than maybe no tractor would do and I agree with your BX vs. L39 comment. I would put it on Craigs list, very popular around these parts and especially since the WantAd went belly up.
