Self leveling loaders

I thought I read someplace that the Kubota LA482 was self leveling but I have mine now and see that its not, has anybody else heard of this?

I have not heard of any of the loaders on the Kubota compacts to be self leveling. A few exceptions are the L35 which is mechanical self leveling and the L48 which is hydraulic self leveling. For most use, I don't think you will miss it, there are a few times it comes in very handy, Rat...

What does a self leveling loader do?? Does it make it so you can't curl it?
I have a LA211 and with the exception of the initial push in to a pile, I can't think of any reason you'd want it level.

A self leveling loader allows the operator to maintain the same bucket angle while raising or lowering the bucket. You can always change the relationship between the two by extending or retracting the bucket. As soon as you release the extend/retract for the bucket, that relationship or bucket angle stays the same regardless of whether you raise or lower the bucket. Some applicatios where it is very useful is when forks are put on the loader. The forks will stay at the same position from where they were on the ground to the full raised position and vice versa. With full, heaped bucket loads of dirt, its much more difficult to dump dirt backwards onto the operator. Its pretty slick and is found on most commercial equipment that use loaders. Rat...
