Nope not in my future. Computers haven't reached the point of being that reliable. One thing to get the blue-screen-of-death and quite another to collide with a semi and actually be dead!

It might be better than letting some of these idiots drive while texting.

If this self driving car thing works out, maybe we could eventually have planes that take off, fly and land by themselves.

At age 69, I am developing a nagging concern about the quality of my life if I live so long that I won't be able to drive any longer. I'm hoping that self-driving cars will become a reality.

The electronics are a nightmare in older vehicles to keep going. What happens when they screw up?

I think the plane would likely be a lot easier to do than the car.

Then there are the idiots putting on makeup, shaving, reading, shoving a burger into their face and doing all sorts of other crap that they aren't supposed to be doing instead of driving.

I think if we had self driving cars initially and we proposed letting every idiot drive will-nilly anywhere at any speed people would think it a crazy idea.

ima thinking it was the car that was driving. though i suppose if you programmed it to drive willy-nilly at any speed.
