got in some serious seat time on the new 2305 this weekend,I turned the cell off and told everyone to leave me alone .LOL. I got about 12 hours in on it and have the sunburn to prove it.
First off= very happy now that i bought the deere because on a few of the chores i did right up next to the house , i had it throttled down real low, about 1800 RPM,so i could control all the movement better, and the hoe worked nice to remove some mature azealas. I heard the kubota ,that i nearly bought, has no power when throttled down. My only complaint is that when pushing dirt forward I'm not too impressed with the pushing power, but it's not a fair comparison i guess to my MAGNATRAC struck mini dozer. that thing is a little tank, litterally. hate to see it go , but the deere is much more user friendly and has the hoe i could not find for the Struck.
I did bite off more than the deere could chew by trying to remove a Double 16" diameter pine that he wind snapped off last year. there was a 4' stump and the tree is still alive. apparantly there is a tap root straight off the bottom because i dug 3' all the way around it and it wont even budge. Pines i believe are noted for the tap root. well i did dig out several other 8" diameter wild cherry that i left a 2' stump on. (remember to leave a stump if you plan to DIG it out, it gives you leverage) All in all with the short hoe arm you have to reposition a lot , but it was well worth it. even did some nice finish grading with the front bucket. Blue skys and green days ahead. crossy
BTW- i shopped around quite a bit and got a very good price on this from the brand new Robert E. Little's dealership in Downingtown , Pa.

Crossy,

Welcome to TBN. I too bought a new 2305 last fall. Love it. Of course like you I found out fairly quickly that she don't like to do a whole lot if it's not in low gear and 4x4. Love it though wouldn't trade it for anything.
