seat switch

hi everyone hope all had a great thanksgiving. I went out today to move some snow. we got about 6 inches Temp went down to about 20 over night. I tried to start the max 28 and nothing. It didn't even turn over. the block heater was on for about a hour. The block was warm to the touch. The seat felt stiff from the cold. I pulled the connection for the seat safety switch apart and jumped the terminals with a piece of wire and bamm she turned right over. Has anyone else seen this. It is like the seat was so cold it would not let the contacts come together to activate the starter.

Yep , the seat was stiff enough your weight did not close the switch .

I had the same problem with a Max25, even in warm weather. The dealer had a jumper ready made so, this may be rather common.
