you by pass the switch (dry contact that would close by weight if occupant on the seat), and short out the connector on the socket to send fake signal.

It is a little more trouble, but installing by-pass switch would allow you to enable/disable safety function. Much safer if you have multiple operators.

Agree. I jumpered the seat-switch and routed it to a separate on/off switch. Although I tend to leave the safety feature in the "disable" mode, I still think it's a good idea to be able to enable it quickly and easily if needed.
