Seat Switch?

Hello has anyone bypassed or unhooked the seat switch?? If so what is the best way to do this? Gets old if you are getting on and off alot .

I only need to be on the seat for starting otherwise mine lets me get on and off when ever I want

You just need to set your parking brake and the machine should stay running whenever you get off the seat... I do this when changing from fel to fork and also move the seat all the way to the back whenever I need to get off and pull it closer again before going forward. Make it easy to get off and on.

Just bypass switch and hook both wires together.

What model of tractor is this? My engine stops everytime I get off or take weight off the seat, unless the parking brake is set. I find this annoying and plan to disconnect my seat switch.

Probably not a good idea to bypass the safety switch on the seat but I did bypass mine. You just unplug the harness from the gray switch underneath your seat. Take some wire and crimp on a couple of male quick connects and plug into the harness.

My ground is very flat so i get on and off mine quite a bit while mowing to pick up sticks and such. I don't set the brake when I get off but if I lived on hilly ground you will need to be careful.

I agree not a good idea to bypass safety switch but I also did bypass mine. I have mostly all flat grd and i can jump on and off with out setting brake and shiffting to neutral. I still will set park brake most of time it was shiffting to neutral all the time that i hated.
