seat switch

i didn't think that a seat switch was all that important or standard, but after reading hst safety http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/121915-safety-hst-2.html#post1403167 it seemed like most cuts have them. so do the ck series or others kiotis come with seat switches, (if they do my dealer will be getting a visit from me pretty soon, because i have not noticed it).

Why would you want one ??
A seat switch will shut the motor down at the worst possible time when you get yourself in a bad situation and lean up off the seat. Been there done that !! I hate them.
I will disable any seat safety switchs on my machines.

I hate the seat switch and am happy I don't have it on my CK. I could understand if a seat switch on a tractor disengaged the HST, but I'd hate to see it shut the motor down. Personally, I'd rather not have it then have it.

It is on my Craftsman riding mower, but even on it, the seat switch only actives, by shutting the motor off, when the mower deck is engaged. That I can understand because you don't want the blades spinning while getting on and off the mower. If blades were allowed to spin, someone might lose a toe or two.
