We tell our customers to remove the seat, (one pin and the wires) bring the seat inside, and when you need to use the tractor put the warm seat on the tractor and you are ready to go! The seat will take on some water if left outside, when it is cold, the water makes the foam much stiffer and the safety switch will not work. The newer tractors have the seat switch under the seat with a lever that works the safety, this is adjustable if needed so it will work with each owner.
