BX owners, I am not quite satisfied with the seat.Seems to pitch you forward.Just wondering if anyone else felt this and if so----- did you find a remedy.I think I might try to add a link in the front hinge to make it sorta tilt back.Any other thoughts? Dixy1dog

I think it is genetic. Member 5030 offered a theory in a recent thread. I have a model 5030 cab and it slopes forward. I ordered a BX for mowing yesterday and my first impression was the slope. I will "fix" mine once I get delivery. I am going to start with the cab on the 5030 since I spend long hours in there.

That's a common complaint on Kubotas throughout this forum. I wanted to buy a Kubota but couldn't deal with the seat slope. I bought a Case instead.

I have a BX22. I like the seat just fine (with the exception of the bolt for the pivot searing a few months after I got it).

My seat seens to be nice and flat, but then again, I have 300 lbs. of natural a** to help hold it down!

I, too, felt like I was going to slide forward off of the seat when I first got my B3030. I needed to use the seatbelt to make myself feel secure. Now, after 40+ hours I find it to be VERY comfortable. It puts me in the proper position to operate the HST pedal, upright with my weight centered and balanced on the seat so that my leg is free to move back and forth and push down on the pedal. It also makes turning around when backing up very easy to do. I feel that the Kubota engineers must have designed the seat for that purpose. I would not change it, now. BTW, I am average size, 5' 10", 180 lbs. That is my HO.

P.S. I still use the seat belt. Most of the time, anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

After reading some posts here of the tragic deaths and injuries that other people have suffered, I wear the seatbelt 100% of the time.

I very glad I got into this habit as I as almost rolled the BX22 a few months ago. Luckly, the rops hit a tree and stopped at about 45 degrees. I was helping my next door neighbors in their yard at the time and he almost turned his pants brown.

The seat belt held me in place until we could get the outrigger down on the backhoe to stabilize the machine.
