Seal kit for FEL curl cylinder (2538 and others(?))

One of my curl cylinders on the FEL developed a leak. Not bad, but noticeable. Took the cylinder to a mechanic that does a bunch of farm tractor work, and they didn't have a "kit" for it. He called a Mahindra dealer and that dealer said that Mahindra doesn't even offer a seal kit. You have to replace the seals/O-rings a piece at a time by matching them up with generic seals. Sounds crazy to me, but probably true, knowing how illogical some of the Mahindra processes are.

I stopped at another Mahindra dealer on the way home, and he told me the same thing. No seal kits available. Said "you have to replace the entire cylinder". (like **** I am!) I was able to find a "band-aid" O-ring at a big box store that is a temp fix. But I'd like to get a "real" set of O-rings and seals to have on hand. The 2nd dealer told me that CYN was the manufacturer of the cylinders for Mahindra. Looked on line but couldn't find them.

Any of you guys find a good source for seals and O-rings for the hydraulic cylinders?

Sadly, that story is true, my employer is a former Mahindra dealer. Hercules is a fantastic source for seals by dimension.

If you can, go to an hydraulic shop or as Rick said, just check sites like Hercules, Motion Industries.

Quite often, you can buy the seals individually for much cheaper than a OEM Seal kit, here in my country anyways.

I suggest going to an hydraulic shop, because there are so many varieties of seals, with minor changes between them but that can make a difference.
