Seems like SDF is going to build small series of tractors up to 80 hp.

Are they just acting as a wholesale subcontractor for massey? In that case, Same Deutz Fahr would remain an independent company.

Technically, the SDF group made compacts for MF back in the day.

I think SAME used to build some of Kubota’s bigger models 20+ years ago.

SDF tractors less than around 50 hp are produced in India from what I had read a couple years back.

My SL&H (SAME Lamborghini & Hurlimann) was produced in Italy best I can tell.

MF will do well to have SDF produce tractors. They are well made.

If you look at 90's larger Kubotas they had the same squared hood as Same

Barely any manufacturer had rounded/sloped shapes at that time.
As far as I know, Kubota produces all of their tractors in Japan.
Except the M8. It's built in Winnipeg by Buhler/Versatile. Apparently they don't have the capacity in Japan for that size of tractor.

Sure. They might be a couple years apart, which would have minor differences, still the same manufacturer and model.

At that time, they were transitioning from air cooled diesel engines to water cooled too.

I have a 2020 MF1760 with a Shibaura 2.2L no DPF, the 2020 MF2860's are virtually the same except they have the Iseki 2.4L, not sure about the DPF. Interestingly I have the same FEL as the 2860.

The SAME's have used Deutz-Fahr Keyline Engines in the past.

I hate having to explain to the person at the parts counter that yes it's this model but it's got this specific hardware because it was made in this month of the year during a full moon on a Tuesday.
