Screening with a grizzly on a bucket

So here is a simple idea that a few of you may be able to use. It worked well for me over a 2 week period and got the job completed. The star of this video is the excavator but my Kioti DK45 SE and a JD 2150 are co-stars.

It is the screen on the bucket.

Is the grizzly hinged on the bucket? Nice! Was thinking that one of those tractors hauling a dump trailer sure would be nice.

Yes, a dump trailer works great as long as you have a place to turn around. Here is a photo of the JD 2150 with a dump trailer, taken just across the creek earlier this spring on the same job.

The grizzly is hinged, sort of. It hangs by 2 short chains. I plan to make a better hinge system but this is working ok for now.

I found a piece of 1/4 X 1" wire mesh at the junk yard. I made an angle iron frame that fits both my small trailer and the FEL bucket. Works great for sifting compost and my gravelly/rocky/sandy soil. It is light enough to lift off and on .
