Scored bore.

I have an older case 530, been using it and breaking things, finding more things wrong with it :licking:

Last thing was the dump cylinder, blew the grade5 bolt apart inside. When it was apart I noticed the bore had some gouging in it on both ends of the tube. Unclear if its old damage or new, either way is it possible to replace it? Would it be DOM tubing?

Yes it is DOM tubing.......1026 DOM tubing to be exact....

If your's is swelled out on the end where the gland is machine and threaded, you'll have the get material sized for the min od of the gland area......when new they expand them before machining.....it's a PIA but you can make a new barrel if you have the lathe and welding experience......

Fortunately I believe mine is very straight forward. It looked like straight cut tube with a minor bevel on internal so that it doesn't gouge the o-rings off the caps, I suppose it has a name for the type of cylinder and I just dont know it. Through bolts from one end cap to another.

Thanks! I can see if I can find a supplier locally. I have a rough lathe at work, she's old, but gets the jobs done! I shouldn't have any issue with that though :thumbsup:

Oh, You have an oldie.....those are the easiest to fix......Bailey Rod & Tubes .....
