I love my 72 " plow on front of my B3030. It covers the machine perfectly while angled completely. I think 60" would be too narrow for my set-up.

That's the same think I thought. 60 inch would be to narrow at full angle.

Nice score......I scored this 5 footer for $250 for my JD790. I just have to clean her up.....slap some paint on.....oh and have an extension welded on for the hookup.....it only has one and as you can see I need 2.

Hey Jeepfreak.

Well, I just found your post while Searching "Plow Extensions". I had actually responded to you on this topic in another forum.

I wish it was the 72". I have Turfs and it covers the tire tracks going straight, but doesn't plow wide enough to clear the tires on the inside of corners, which is becoming a bit frustating as it makes it hard to do a nice clean job. If I was buying new I'd go for the 72" for sure. I'm looking in to making some extensions like you see on Plow trucks. Another project....:)

Other than that, my only other gripe is that I have plowed up a bit of lawn here and there. Of course it's still the New toy and I want to use it all the time but I'm sure by the end of the season I'll be using the rear blower in those areas and use the plow in the areas where it accells, like plowing walking trails in the back fields.

Overall it was agood purchase and I'm glad I did. I'm sure you would enjoy one.

Nice set up and great price! I paid 1260 just for the plow...

Wayne, just wondering if your dealer made any attempt to correct the paint issue on your plow.

Last word from them was they had turned the pictures over to Kubota service to wee if they will do anything about it. I just have not pushed them too hard nor will I push them hard when I buy a new tractor LOL

Plow worked nice in this past little snow with rain/ice on top of it.

Thanks Wayne. I'm pretty happy with it, but as mentioned, wish it was wider.

If I'm not mistaken you have/had both were selling the 72". Did you try the 72", and if so did it make any difference? Why buy the 60 when you had the 72"?

Just interested if maybe the 72" wouldn't that much different, or was bad in some other way.

I read your reply on the other thread. I want mine to have the rubber cutting edge option which should stop the turf distruction or at least keep it to a minimum.

Hi Steve,

Glad you saw the other post. I've been considering using a rubber cutting edge as well. I have 4' X 6' X 1/2" piece of an old conveyer belt I use as a floor mat in my garage that I've been eyeing up.

Also thinking about how I may be able to use that as a means to extend the plow wider as well. I'm thinking I may be able to cut a large "U" shaped piece to go along the bottom and then up each side and extend out by 6 or 8" on the sides. That would also give protection to the plow and anything I may inadvertently hit while plowing. Still working on the idea...
