Scab cheetah engines

Looking at getting a scab cheetah 61 with velocity rear discharge zero turn in the spring. I would really like to have the Briggs vanguard to power it but they don稚 offer it with the cheetah. Which engine is going to be better for realibity and fuel consumption that they offer now. 31hp Kawasaki or the 35hp Kohler. And does anyone know if they will make the vanguard available in the cheetah for next year

We run both a Scag Turf Tiger and Scag Cheetah on our property. The Cheetah has the Kawasaki engine and the Turf Tiger the Kohler. The Kawasaki engine eats gas. The Kohler easily gets twice the fuel economy of the Kawasaki engine. From my experience, both engines are reliable. Don't know about the Vanguard engine.
