Sc2450 BH Creeping

I just purchased a rand new Sc2450 last week, nice little tractor working out great so far but I have two basic problems.

1) The backhoe tends to creep down no matter what, standing still or moving I always have to reach back and pull it up; maybe three or four inches in a short time. If it moved a little no biggy but this is a lot IMHO.

and 2) The BH Controls sticking, I need to spray wit WD40 per Seller instructions but it doesn稚 seem normal to have to do it already.

Any comments am I doing something wrong ?
I have read over the instruction manual but didn稚 notice what I wanted, ok so I read it fast

Mine doesn't creep or stick but it has spent it's life inside. Can't help much more than that. Maybe a bad cylinder, valve, or a leak?

If its "brand new", why not consult your dealer about the issue? It certainly shouldn't be leaking down like that. Have you dealer come out and fix the issue.

Sorry for the delay on replying.

The dealer replaced the complete BH Assy.

I just got back form the FL Keys and put the BH back on the Tractor and will see how things are working out.

Well sorry to say that the BH is still creeping down.
I have a locking pin for the unit but did not want to use it all of the time but looks like I will.
I contacted the Dealer, just to let you guys know, and they did replace the BH Unit but the dealer still has no response from CCYanmar.
Just to qualify… Emerich is a great Dealer, they have done what was necessary to make the original sale and to help me out with the BH so far. They even traveled a long distance to deliver the new BH to me without cost to me, nice ! Oh ya I would buy from them again.


My next step will be to contact CCYanmar and talk to them to see if there is a reported problem, if there is a Service Bulletin and a fix and if the Company has a plan in place to get this annoying problem fixed.

Working with the pin in place is not too bad or not as bad as I had thought it would be.

Working on a solution from my end, now if there are any other 2450 owners out there with the same problem PLEASE contact both your dealer and the Company and let them know there is a problem.

I don't have a 2450, but a 7532 with a backhoe. It creeps down all the time if I don't use the factory latch.....I attribute it to the weight of ther hoe pulling it down. Same as a loaded loader bucket, with a good amount of weight it's most likely going to creep downward.

I'm actually surprised they replaced the whole thing..?! So, if the second one does the same, I would ASSUME it's a "normal" thing......unless the manual says its not supposed to??

But please keep us informed as to what CCY says!

Most backhoes and loaders do creep down with time, some a little time and some a little more time!

To get technical as to where many of the manufactures like to see for leak down is actually about six inches in in hour for a ball park.

Most repairs to stop the creep are just in the cylinders.

I find it hard to believe that with two hoes that they both settle, we have had no issues with these units yet(let me find some wood)!

I do recommend having the pin installed if you are not using the hoe to relieve the stress on the seals in the cylinders.
