SC2400 Box blade

Getting a BB and was going to get a 48" just to cover the wheels. They are trying to talk me into a 5' BB. Anyone with experience with either size?

If you have 4wd I think you would be fine with a 5'. You can always just not dig as deep per pass with the 5 footer. :thumbsup: Just make sure it will fit thru your gates, doors,and between your trees.

Your dealer is recommending this?

Considering the owners manual and cub both sell a 4' for that machine I would question that advice.

There was a thread in the Kubota forum recently about a 5' on a BX.
The consensus was to go with a 4'.

If you havent bought get the 5 ft
I have a 60" cub-cadet Yanmar box blade handles it well I love it best attachment I have in the spring muddy season

its heavy cuts in well and as long as you remember its just on a small tractor it handles the work fine

I definetly recomend the 5' over the 4' have used one with the 4' too light to dig in too small to cover the roadway in 2 passes just plain too small get the 5

Well I shot it in the middle. A store around the corner from me had a woods BSS54. It was far heavier than all of the other 48" and even most of the 60" models I saw (486lbs). Hope to use it next weekend to level out some spots that the mower has not been able to train & fix the drainage ditch in front of the house.
