Mowing sc2400 belly mower mount kit

hello i have a sc2400 bought without a belly mower new i found a used mower for a good price but it doesn't have the parts to hook it on and the guy sold his tractor long ago. they say they don't make a kit just wondering if anyone knows the best place to try or to buy the individual parts at the best price

I imagine Scoutcub will weigh in here soon. He seems to have the best collection of this type of thing. If he doesn't have what you need perhaps he knows where you can find it.

If you can't locate a kit I think that it may not be too difficult to assemble the parts and pieces you need yourself. The hard part will be knowing what is needed and what the special parts (such as arms or links) look like. Perhaps someone could provide a picture of the parts for you. If you can get the lift links and arms figured out the driveshaft could be constructed from off-the-shelf components by someone good at fabricating. While I know it would be far easier to simply buy the kit you need, if you get a real smokin' good deal on the deck itself it would probably be worth the time and money to assemble the parts you need to make it work.

While this seems logical it assumes that Yanmar built the mower decks for MTD (Cub Cadet). Is that a known fact or is it possible that the decks were built by Cub and that they are not actually interchangeable with Yanmar mower deck kits?

Others who have a sc2400 would know more. I think aside from cub cadet putting a name and using black and yellow paint i think they had nothing to do with the built of the CCY units. I wouldn't be surprised if your deck was built by Woods.

That's a good idea about Woods. In fact, I think that a call to Woods might get you the information that you are looking for, and maybe even a source for the kit you need.

I just got a complete deck and mounting kit for my 2400. Look up woods sales and service in pensylvania, that's where I got mine and he made it sound like he had more mounting kits or enough parts to make one. I also talked to another guy that was supposed to get in touch with yanmar to see if he could buy some more kits, I could find that email aswell if need be

Individually priced all the parts were 1100 dollars I believe so you would have to get a smoking deal on a deck, I paid 1600 shipped for mine brand new and complete
