Our family moved to SC in July 2012 and purchased a 4 acre hobby farm in November. I purchased a 2006 John Deere X724 used in February because I wanted a utility tractor appropriate for our acreage but with a tight turn radius to deal with our many, many trees, it came with the 62C deck. I also purchased a new MC542 to help deal with all the leaves in the fall.
We are raising Icelandic sheep for milk, meat, and wool and ducks for eggs right now, in addition to children. We may add meat ducks and chickens next summer.
