Saw my first Tesla Model X SUV in the parking lot today.

Just about all the Docs I work with have PV arrays at their homes or offices or both...

None have the new Tesla SUV... the most popular is the Nissan Leaf, Tesla and BMW all electric.

One reason for the popularity is single occupant Car Pool privileges which can be significant during commute times in the SF Bay Area.

I came up to a stoplight next to one 2 weeks ago. I had to double take to see what it was. Then the light turned green and the new owner mashed on it. He was gone. That thing, with out wheel spin, just shot off the line like a rocket, just staying on the edge of breaking the tires loose. He let off after about 100 yards or so. Probably already doing 80 or so.

The Teslas are getting out there. I see them regularly on the streets in Chicago and a few months ago in Amsterdam I saw a couple of Tesla taxis.
