Saw Mill engine--->Kohler 14 hp CH440

My dilemma.Do I need a new engine or can t be salvaged?

My rookie mistake --->Replaced a leaking gasket on carburetor ( engine worked fine before leak developed )
After reassembly , I could not turn engine over with recoil type starter. It acted seized or locked up.
I opened both oil level plugs and out poured mixture of engine oil and gasoline.

Advice needed . I'll call myself a knucklehead to save you the time.

The crankcase full of liquid is probably what kept the crank from turning. It should turn now. If not then something else happened like a part went into the engine through the intake. If it's free then it should be fine once you fix or replace the carb.

The issue is the float valve is not sealing allowing the carb to overflow and fill the engine cylinder and crankcase with gas. Will need to remove, clean and repair the carb.

this looks like a honda clone,, remove carb and basically clean the float needle seat with a q tip and carb cleaner also clean jets you tube Kohler ch ch 440 carb clean.. also change your oil.. good luck

Actually based on collaboration with Subaru.

Take the sparkplug out and spin it over to clear the gas and oil out.

If there is room on a fuel line, install a fuel shut off valve to keep this from happening again while off.
