HI,

Every once in a while if I am up my dealer's way I stop by to say hello and talk a little...This morning was one of those days.

I wonder why I don't stop by the car dealers like that /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Anyway, after we talk a bit he says he just got a L3130 in, and would I like to see it as it's in the back...YES!

That's a big tractor, compared to my B2910. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Too big for my needs I am certain. I wasn't thinking of the possibility of upgrading...[yea, right]...but...now I know NOT to think about upgrading!

I could not help thinking that the L3130 makes my B2910 look the way that my B2910 makes a bx2200 look! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Same feeling when I saw them the first time.

I like it when you KNOW it is NOT for you.

I agree. The 3130 is a fine tractor, but I prefer my 2910. It is small enough to manuver around in the trees..I don't want to cut down any more, and has good power for what I need. I looked at the 3130 last fall before I bought the 2910, and I am glad I stayed with the smaller tractor.

Hi Bill,

Yes, I'm glad (and you probably are too) that there is such a visible size difference between the L and B series, 'cause knowing us, we'd have easily talked ourselves into one. I know it wouldn't have fit on our property. At least on your property you could turn it around without trespassing on your neighbors property. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Not so here. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

They are nice machines though. Just wish I had the space....

Henro, the L3130 is really a great idea. In replacing the previous model, the 3010, it has something that makes it comparable to a "big compact". The loader it can take has higher capacities then the 4310 had and really what separates it from competitors tractors. The 3 pt hitch has been upgraded in capacity and design as well. All in all, it's a great choice for those looking for more tractor then the B series models, quite a bit smaller then the larger L series and yet still have a enough there to handle the increased loader abilities. I would seriously consider it if it would operate my 80" brush hog and 84" finish mower. My Kubota dealer suggests that the L3830 be the smallest for these 2 mowers.

Perhaps if you convinced your wife that a L3130 is necessary, then the only thing left would be to convince her that you need more acerage. Rat...
