Mitzubishi Satoh S370
I recently acquired and restored (painted) a Satoh S370 Beaver.
The tranny started making a noise so I assumed it needed fluid. I poured 2 gallons before it was full. Tranny is still making noise. Does the system require bleeding or something? I'm not familiar with these tractors.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not really familiar with your specific tractor but I wouldn't think bleeding would be a problem. The trans case should be vented so any bleeding shouldn't be necessary. We also need a little more info.
I am also going to assume this is a gear drive trans and not hydrostatic...correct?
When you say it's making noise, what kind of noise it it making (whine, grinding, etc.?) and to what degree.
I am also curious about how much fluid you put in, was it "full" as in no more fluid would fit in the trans case or that it showed full on the dipstick? If you completely filled the trans, I suspect you now have it over filled.

Thanks Darryl. The hydraulic fluid on this tractor operates the whole system. Brakes, clutch and lift. Everything works fine. The noise is just agitating. I don't know how to describe it except for a light whooshing sound. I know that's not much to go on but that's what it sounds like to me. It changes pitch when you depress the clutch pedal.

Oh, It is gear driven. And has only a fill hole. No dip stick. Terry
