Satoh dark blue paint?

I'd like to repaint SOME areas of my Satoh Buck's frame, front axle, etc.

Some parts are good, and don't need repainted or re-sprayed.

I'd like to know if anyone has found a close match to that dark blue color.

Is Ford Blue close?

I remember earlier posts that said Ford Grabber Blue was close to original. The pieces you don't paint may be faded and may not match. Hey, it already looks better than mine, leave it alone.

i would like to pretty up my tractor too.was told ford grabber blue was close to my mitsu d1850 paint.my frame is gray though.how would you paint your frame? would u use a brush or spray?

I got some spray paint at a tractor place. Maple Mountain.

The car said Ford Blue Tractor Paint.

Got it home, and went to spray it, and the paint was too old. doesn't work. I'll have to take it back and try another kind. So, I can't tell you if it matches yet, but the spray can cap looked pretty close. Maybe a little dark, though.

Ford used two different blues for their engines. The dark Ford Engine Blue is almost a perfect match. I've used it on my S470D. Bill - satohparts.com

I used Ford Grabber blue to paint the sheet metal on my Mitsubishi MT372D. Very good match, But, I think the Satoh frame blue is a different shade/hue.

Grabber Blue is a good match for the Mitsubishi gray market such as D1850, D2350, Etc. It matches Al's MT372 because his is one of the last produced and they changed the color scheme. The dark Ford engine blue is still the best match for the Satoh blue. BIll

Bought the Ford blue engine enamel spray paint from a Tractor Supply Store. It's nearly exactly the same as the Satoh dark blue. Nice.
I just sprayed the bell housing to see what it looked like; very close match.
