Looked inside trnasmission through the rubber cap next to the gear shift and could see clear to the bottom. Something should be in there?? I am gussing oil. Can someone tell what oil and how much?

On the left side of the transmission/rearend housing there is a plug about where your heel is on the foot rest. That is the fill level plug. While it is empty you should go on and drain it and check the screen. Use oil rated for tractor hydraulics and transmissions/rear ends. Takes somewhere around 3-3.5 gallons, I think.
