satoh beaver 370s help

I have recently got my hands on a satoh beaver 370s 2wd and want to know some information about it. This is my first tractor and I have completely torn it down. I was wondering about the 3 point hitch mine is cat 0,.
my question is does anyone use this tractor to pull a disc harrow and if so is it 4 ft or 5 foot, and did you have to convert to cat1. I am looking at a 4 foot disc that has 4 sets of discs.

I just need some help here I don't want to get a disc and it not work

I have a MT372 and have a Cat I lift on mine. I tried pulling a double disc and it was hard on it when it bogged down. I went to a single disc and it works much better with a little added weight. I bought a Sears Suburban tractor disc off ebay and changed my arms to Cat 0 from a 370 beaver (thanks Valley Power ) and added a shorter top link and it worked like a charm. Most disc harrows that are older are really heavy, add some front weight also. Agri-fab makes a single disc that you can order at Lowes or Sears but they want about $475 for it. I have about $160 in mine for the same thing and had money left over to buy a plug aerator.

I just saw that was your first post. Welcome to TBN!

I tore mine down to the chassis and painting everything now also. Here is a before and during pic.

A couple more weeks and I should be done. Just got my good/fenders/wheels painted last weekend and all the other small parts. I will try to get the rest of the chassis painted and then start to put her back together. I also had the radiator checked / cleaned and painted. All bolts were tumbled cleaned and ready to put back on for final touches.

These are tough little tractors.

What do you mean by tore it down? Was it broken?

Your 3pt question. There are cat 0 disks and cat 1 disks. You could modify a cat 1 disk to fit your cat 0 tractor or you could change the tractors lift arms and top link to cat 1.

I think a 5' may be a bit much. The tractor should pull it but may not have enough traction to really work it. Maybe others have experience with both 4 and 5 footers. I do not, our disk is about 9' and pulled by my Father in laws 35+HP International tractor.

Can my satoh beaver handle a 40' king kutter mower deck? The manual says that I need a gearbox rated at 40HP. I am new to this and will I be ok to get a deck of this size? Sure appreciate your guidance.

I run a 42" bush hog behind my 15hp Mitsubishi 372, It could probably do a 48".
