Santa Delivered A New JD 3720

After what seemed to be a long time, it has finally arrived. The tractor, tiller, and belly mower came in a few weeks ago but had to wait on the loader. Last Saturday, I went to my local dealer to pickup my new toy. Since our place of business is less than a block away, I drove it to it's new home.

That is a very nice tractor. Congratulations on its purchase. I know you will get lots of good use out of it. Did you get a good price, and when up, does the mower give you decent ground clearance?

I was originally looking at a 3320, with 72" mid mount mower, 300cx loader and 665 tiller. After much debate, I finally decided on a 3720 with the attachments listed. I probably didn't need the 3720, but what the heck. I think I did ok on price... I was able to purchase everything for $27500 before taxes. In regards to mower clearance, it seem a little close to the ground. I will know more once I get a chance to use it.

I think it's going to take a little getting us to... My wife and I have spent many hours riding on a JD 750 mowing. It's been a great machine, but it's no comparison to the 3720. We decided to keep the JD 750. My only concern is the wife will take the 3720 and leave me with the 750. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Vibeman I know what you mean. Wineland delivered my 3720 this past Friday. It is truly an incredible machine. Of course I have never owned a tractor before so my amazement may be partially due to lack of experience, but it did everything I asked of it. Plucked big rocks out of my field, moved dirt around, and even lifted an old safe out of the back of a pickup truck.

My dealer did a great job making sure it was set-up so I would be happy and boy did the succeed. Now I can't wait to get back to their place and buy more toys...

The snow was falling when mine was delivered and the grass in the field was a little frozen so probably will not get a chance to check out the rotary cutter for a few months. Maybe I can raise it slightly, drive backwards, and use it to blow snow! Just kidding as I know it is not safe to do any of those things.

Congrats to all who got their 3720's in. Sure you will be just as happy and proud as I am of the new addition.
