s150 12-22 code

I have 1500hr and while using bucket and no attachments code 12-22 started showing- its for aux switch
how to repair/troubleshoot this?

12-22 Front Auxiliary Thumb Paddle Switch Out Of Range Low. You have broken cable or bad switch

man....... I noticed the boot on the lever was torn down where it exists the cab so maybe wire is pinched or just corrosion. Such little use it’s frustrating-
I guess I will have to raise cab and investigate- thanks
