At one time had both a K22 and a K38 Masterpiece, sold them both (sob), been sorry ever since. I was trapping then and both were blued and I was afraid to get them wet, wanted something in stainless. Since then my trapping/misc pistol has been a stainless Smith 4" Kit Gun in .22LR, and it's not going anywhere! The S&W K22, K38, and .22LR Kit Gun are IMHO three of the best classic revolvers ever built.

Agreed. Here are my 15-3/K38 Combat masterpeice (bottom pic) made in 1965 and my 17-2/K22 Target masterpiece made in 1964. Both are top notch shooters, accurate as a lazer beam in most anyones hands. Been offered big money for them but I enjoy em' way too much to sell. I've also got a 22lr stainless kit gun 4" bbl but it's no where near the quality of the mid 60's K frames.
