S.E. Oklahoma Snow Pictures.

I know .... compares to nothing to some of my neighbors to the north ... but its still snow.

35 miles North of the Red River ...

Blueriver, it means something to me and I live North of you!.....Still in Oklahoma but north of you.:laughing: I'll have to snap some pics of our place and put on here. This week has really been the pits hasn't it? Our plant was shut down on Tuesday (not really the pits, I guess), Wednesday we still couldn't go anywhere until the graders ran about noon. Yesterday I got brave enough to drive the 35 miles to work. It took me about 1 1/2 hrs. What's crazy is that I'm considering posting something in the Snow Removal forum here on TBN!!:laughing: Nothing too fancy though just an old Kubota with a homemade gadget I call a "snow wedge" and also a grader blade. We just aren't prepared for this junk like our comrades to the North are!

Yes it has been the pits ... Ya'all got considerably more than we did, I heard in the area of 12-14" ??

The graders have not even tried to run out here !!

Yep! I'd say 12-14" sounds about right maybe a little more. I can't believe the graders haven't ran! Ours had to in order to get rid of those 3-4' drifts. There was no way we could get around those things on Wednesday!

i know you dont bother with snow tires on your cars in oklahoma and further south but i wonder about folks in states like say hmm..kentucky or virginia

We do have some Elk farms with high fences and private hunting ... I like those attachments as well... can never have enough.

BTW ... snowing again !! Just told the wife I wish I had a snowmobile ... that would freak folks out around here !!!

Today I took more hay over to the cows and thought about my dad ... he used to change out his summer tire to snow tires in the fall ... I quess here we have allterrain tires.

I have 2 inches, which seems to be about the low end of things. Some people are telling me that they got 7 inches. My thought is that ANY snow is too much!!!!!!

I've attached some photos. These aren't SE Oklahoma, but they are only about 30 miles south of the OK state line where I live in TX. I have to give credit to my wife, Kathy. She's the one who braved the cold to get these pictures.

1. We had a variety of birds at the feeder including a very hungry woodpecker.
2. This little fellow has his feathers all poofed out and a sunflower seed snack in his beak.
3. Two very cold tractors
4. The wind made white tornadoes in all the open areas.
5. Looking out across my gullies and ponds in progress.
