I just rebuilt my S-650G and need some help with the timing. I see there are 2 hashes on the crank, but they are not marked. my book doesn't show anything on the timing, or specs.
I was also wondering what the valve adj. order should be.
I have a repair manual and it states that the timing is supposed to be set with timing mark coinciding with the pointer. However, like yours mine has 2 notches. I tried it at each point and then actually adjusted by how the engine ran from there. I found mine ran better at all rpms when it wasn't on either mark. I don't remember where I ended up setting it.
I can't seem to find any order in which to adjust the valves. It just says to adjust each cylinder at TDC. Hope this helps
