Well noticed a puddle on the floor under fuel tank. After closer examination, found the tank has a crack along the seam. Tractor is well in warranty period so sure this will be covered. Will call dealer on Monday. Just a bummer. Tractor is garaged and with mild Missouri weather so far this year not sure the cold caused this but not sure what else could have.

Not a fan of where tractor makers are mounting the fuel tanks these days. What is the white scuff mark on pic #2?

looks like it's just a reflection off of the wet gas leaking.

when I first got my MF1540 about 15 years ago, I topped off the fuel after brush hogging on a hot day (like to have the tractor "ready to go" the next time I use it).

fuel tank is plastic (or whatever); the fuel cap threads on the tank deformed due to the softness from the general heat/hot engine. Was replaced under warranty. Now I wait for it to cool down before fueling.

Probably just a defect in the mold, good thing is warranty in effect.

defective tank seam. Should be a warranty item. I had one of my metal saddle tanks fail on my cab tractor when it was new. Bad weld. replaced under warranty.
