Runs at idle

Just rebuilt an ad3-152. Starts easy and idles smooth. New pump and injectors. Crankshaft, pistons, bearings and sleeves replaced. Will idle all day long but once above 1000rpm engine will shut down. New fuel filters and new lift pump on head. Looking for ideas on what to troubleshoot.

What is an ad3-152? You need to list the make, model as well as the year. Too little information equals no response....

It is a 1966 MF150 3 cylinder perkins diesel

Sounds to me like you have something amiss in the pump

Do the model #’s on the new pump match the model number on the old pump.??
