Is anyone running a Samurai Cutter from the 3rd function valve?

Did you plumb it in any special way, for example; dedicated return line to the tank, flow control valve, check valves?

Connect it normally with both lines to the third function.

If it happens to jam, you need a way to reverse it, which a dedicated tank line won't allow.

Do they specify a minimum diameter for the hoses?

Or a minimum flow in gallons per minute?

Low flow for this device. Manufacturer recommends flow restriction to a point where user can see teeth moving when engaged. Guessing 2 gpm.

It should work if connected normally. No return line should be necessary. Keep in mind that 3rd function valves are primarily designed to operate hydraulic cylinders. They can overheat if used with a hydraulic motor for long periods.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Overheating the hydrualic valve is something I have not thought about but need to watch.
