Running hydraulic lines from rear remote to FEL

I need to run hydraulic lines from rear to front for a new grapple on a JD 5525. The dealer quoted me $450 for parts and installation. Is this reasonable? I'm not sure of what the parts would cost (?) Thanks, SB

You should also look into adding a true 3rd function to open / close your grapple. We added the WR Long kit to our New Holland TL100A. It's more money but well worth it. You end up with a rocker switch on your FEL joystick that opens and closes the grapple. I think it's is much easier that moving your hand from FEL control to the handle for your remote. The WR Long Diverter plumbs into the power beyond port on your loader valve. Plus you don't lose the use of your rear remote.

Is the dealer putting hard lines on your loader with a set of quick couplers mid mounted for removing the loader?
I assume you already have a rear SCV.
If you are getting couplers to your SCV, hoses to another pair of couplers (for loader removal) hoses to loader mounted hard lines, and couplers at the end of the hard lines; not a bad price installed.
If all you are getting is a couple of hoses tie wrapped on with couplers on the ends; too much.

If you have a grapple installed and want to simply connect hoses from the remote, the cost should be about $80 for the hoses and fittings.

You could also install a diverter valve and use the curl circuit. Once installed, a push button will shift the hyd flow from the curl to the grapple.

I did that on our JD 6200. Nice arrangement. Hard Lines down the loader and a rocker switch on the joystick. I forget what it cost, but it was more then the four hundred something dollars I seem to recall. There is another spool to add to the block (not cheap), oh and I installed it myself. Probably did a much nicer job running the hoses. There are special valves up front at the couplers to bleed away pressure as you can't operate the valves when the machine is not running.

I would always opt for another totally new hydraulic circuit over a diverter. You can never have enough circuits IMO.

JJ i disagree about it being too much. Flat face couplers are about 40 something a piece. Plus you have to get 25 feet of hose and the quick couplers for the scv. I put it all together myself and had $375 and that was all made locally. A third function would be my best option but the kit from jd doesn't just add a spool it completely replaces the valve block and some hard lines and its clsoer to 2K to have a true third function.

No PBY is listed in parts. Parts key #7 is called a drain plug
