RK-55
I recently purchased a new RK55 with the 8.5 backhoe. The back hoe has the metal shoes on each of the stabilizers, with no rubber friction pads to protect asphalt or provide a better grip in gravel or dirt. The clean metal slides around quite a bit. RK does not sell the friction pads, and suggested something aftermarket.

Have any of you bought the rubber friction pads for your back hoe stabilizer pads? Maybe even for your RK back hoe? I'd appreciate any suggestions on where I could find compatible after market pads for the stabilizer feet.

Thanks in advance, you guys.

Thanks. That's a good idea. How did you attach? Any chance you could add pics sometime so I could see the "install"?

I just lay the pads under the metal shoes.

First question, what and where are you digging that you would want stabilizers down on a paved surface?

Some of us added 1-1/2" steel angle to the pads to help dig in to dirt or other soft surfaces.

Angle Iron seems like an excellent idea.

I don't need the pads for resting on pavement. But the "bare" steel pads tend to slide around a lot on the dirt and don't add much "grip" when using the backhoe. Think of the bare metal plate on top of wet grass as a (somewhat poor) example to illustrate the issue.
