RTV900 Kubota Winch Option Price

Decided to get a Worsksite RTV900. Pleased with the dealer price on an in stock model, but I am not sure about the value of the winch option which is around 600 installed. I think this is a Warn 25ci with the remote. A quick web search shows this can be bought for about 350 or so.

I don't mind paying for installation since my todo list is already longer than I can live, but if these things are not too hard to put on, then shouldn't I save some cash and do it myself?

It also seems as if the 3.0ci might be a better match for the RTV.

They are not hard at all to install .
I would not purchase nothing no smaller than a 3,000 pounder. That's what folks down here run on the RTV 900's, and everybody keeps a snatch block in their action pak box that we keep in the back, just for added power >>>>
Been purchasing the winch / winch mounting kit from allterrainonline, and everything has been installing them perfect !!!!! They have fair prices, and the mounting kits are a BIG PLUS ...
They have different models to choose from, with or without remote control..... We've got ours without, and installed the rocker switch where the emergency flasher switch goes .... easy as pie !!!
The switch is out of the way, PERIOD.....
Install the rocker switch up-side down, for the support-bar to work properly, for if it was installed the other way, it just wouldn't work right. Being upside down causes NO problems.....

look up gorilla winchs on ebay you can get a 4k with corded remote for under 200.00. my two of my buddys have them and they pull great. as for as the 2.5k winch i think you better go bigger because i have a warn 2.5 and it does ok with my rhino but i don't think it would stand a chance with a rtv.

I put my Ramsey back inside the grill. That way you don't have it sitting out in front of the vehicle. I mounted a rocker switch and a wireless contol for operation. I have actually used the winch on the RTV while using the tractor's frontend loader to move things into place.

Mistake, I installed the rocker switch where the turn singles go, not were the emergency / hazard switch goes, sorry 'bout the mess-up >>>>

Dosen't the Warn also mount so that it can sit inside the front grill like the Ramsey?

They only have 2500 lb winch but the prices are really good at Sam's Club Auction. Might be worth a look.
