RTV1140 What do you think?

from what I understand the transmission is much smoother then the RTV 1100, In the Northeast it is a 3 season RTV with a back seat.

I drove a 900 recently. I didn't have trouble with the tranny. I quickly learned to feather the gas pedal to keep the tranny from quickly decelerating. The other guys said their RTV's were all or nothing. I assume this is what you're talking about.

The tranny on the one I drove worked good, you could feather the gas pedal to coast to a stop without breaking your neck like I saw the other guys do. I used it for work, At the Nascar races to respond to emergencies and carry people. We didn't have it loaded to much but it ran pretty fast. I didn't notice it bog down at all. It was only loaded with 500Lbs of people and 150 of gear though.

Looked at an RTV 1100 the other day and it was missing the hydro release knob on the dash. Looked at the brake pedal and the cable is now attached to a bracket so it gets pulled when the brakes are applied, similar to what the 1140 has under the hood. Looks like all the Kubota RTVs will get the VHT Hydro + upgrades.

The 1140 is bascily a stretched RTV900 with the drivetrain from the 1100 VHT+. Its an impressive rig. The change from the back seat to the stretched bed is really slick. Is seems to have more power than the rest of the RTV's with the heavier drivetrain and less weight.
