RTV1100 Speaker Question

Anyone out there change the factory headliner speakers in an RTV1100?...The factory ones are awful, sounds like a transistor radio.

If so, what size are they? I really don't want to tear out the healiner to find out if I can avoid it.

Any fit problems with aftermarket speakers?

I had my head-liner out twice and of course never took pics. dah!

But it was very easy to remove. Take out all the little bolts and the light(2 screws) then pull the front down towards the front windshield and it will slip out of the rear moldings on each side and out it comes.

Reverse the procedure to get it back into the moldings at the rear and re-install bolts.

I was looking for water leaks.

I had the head liner partially down putting a satellite antenna up there and they looked like about 4 inch speakers.

Thanks...The headliner does look fairly easy to take down, I'm just being lazy by fishing for speaker size before I take it apart.

Based on the number of responses, I'm guessing no one upgraded their speakers?

As bad as these are, I'm kinda surprised...Guess it'll be trial and error then.

Nope, haven't done it yet, been working too much...Hopefully in a week or so. I'm hoping aftermarket is a serious improvement.
